From new tools and show stoppers, to 'AI for good'

The Morning AI is a newsletter, previously called She Doesn't Code. I decided to expand the topic from 'AI web design' to 'all things practical AI' so here we are. New name, new brand. Please forward this to anyone you think will reply to you with 'this is cool!'.

💬 Ask AI

If you've been procrastinating changing an insurance like me, get AI to help you. I asked ChatGPT to compare my current contract with the new offer (hello, file upload!) and made a decision in less than five minutes. Oh, and I found out that my insurance company took out something that I didn't ask for and wouldn't have noticed (not without a magnifier at least).

👗 Show Stopper

Louis Vuitton dressed their flagship New York City store as their famous trunks. It's so impressive that the internet responded with "this must be AI-generated". Well, it's not. So next time you decide to make big waves, be ready to meet with ... suspicion.

🛠️ Tool Spotlight

There's a new tool in town and it looks so shiny I was immediately distracted. It's called OwlyGPT, released by Hootsuite, one of the biggest social media management tools. It promises to generate fresh insights, effective strategies, and social content, better than other AI tools. I'll test it out and let you know my findings in one of the next issues.

WhatsApp users might have noticed a new icon appear in the app - Meta AI - and it's currently not possible to disable it. I don't plan on using it, so I filed this under 'Annoying'. If you found a way to remove it, reply to this email to let me know.

🎤 AI for Good

If you're in Geneva, you can attend UN's "AI for Good Global Summit", from 8 to 11 July. You can get a free ticket to attend the main session and exhibits, or shell out for a Gold or Leaders Pass that will give you access to more things (oh, look, a Goodie Bag!). And if you're not near Geneva you can still attend - online and for free as well.

Here's one to copy-paste this end of June:

💭 Final Thought

With AI getting better at generating more and more realistic images, videos, voices, conversations and so on ... at what point will unique human-generated content become a high-priced commodity? In other words, will we ever make the full circle? Time will tell.
